Return to Ravnica is just around the corner. With much anticipation gained by the spoiler-esque picture of Jace and Niv-Mizzet just chillin’, the awesome setup of the pre-releases and the speculation that shock lands or a land very similar with basic land types will be returning, it’s gotten all Magic fans from the era of the original Ravnica block giddy like school girls. Or maybe that’s just me. Nonetheless it’s going to be awesome.

Petition for a new Un-Set!
Recently, Mark Rosewater made a comment that the Magic community needed to show some support for a 3rd Un set. So, through the glory of the MtG sub-reddit, a petition has started that is currently around 450 signatures including my own. Standard: A place where people with the ability to acquire new cards get their best 75 together and try to be top dog. Sadly, a good amount of standard becomes dominated by expensive cards that many people either can’t afford or don’t care to spend the money on. It’s the way that it goes. Professional players win with a deck and the value of cards in the deck goes up because everybody buys those cards.
