Brews No.3 &#8211; G\/W Humans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I would generally like to release a new brew every week on Wednesday but this week has been woefully busy!<\/p>\n<p>This weeks&#8217; brew isn&#8217;t anything combo, it isn&#8217;t anything fancy or new so to say, but rather a very solid deck I have spent a grand amount of time editing and playtesting.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I actually had plans on taking this brew to the TCGPlayer 50k tournament in Indianapolis, IN, but plans for this event fell through for me so I will just post the list up for all of you wonderful people a wide range of winning, nearly unbeatable opening hands when left unopposed by early removal.<\/p>\n<p>Your enemy when playing this deck are cards like <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Searing+Spear&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Searing Spear<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Ultimate+Price&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Ultimate Price<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Pillar+of+Flame&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Pillar of Flame<\/a>, when accompanied with a solid follow up. But that&#8217;s how it works when you play an aggressive strategy. Luckily for us we have cards like <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Selesnya+Charm&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Selesnya Charm<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Faith%26%238217%3Bs+Shield&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Faith&#8217;s Shield<\/a> to protect our team while setting up a winning swing.<\/p>\n<p>The deck is very resilient versus most midrange decks and has the capability to set up a lethal swing out when you are opposed by multiple <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Thragtusk&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Thragtusk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I initially had <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Sublime+Archangel&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Sublime Archangel<\/a>&#8216;s in the deck but found them very clunky and counter productive to the overall strategy of the deck which tends to be setting up swarms of human creatures and swinging out for loads of damage. The <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Sublime+Archangel&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Sublime Archangel<\/a> helped alot when paired with <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Champion+of+Lambholt&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Champion of Lambholt<\/a> when facing down things like <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Griselbrand&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Griselbrand<\/a> but I found <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Selesnya+Charm&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Selesnya Charm<\/a> to be much better and much cheaper, plus it is never a dead card.<\/p>\n<p>Because I&#8217;ve included my sideboard in this article I will tell you how I would sideboard against the widely played decks currently in the Standard meta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>V.S. The goal is to lay your humans down and if they oppose them with cards like <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Detention+Sphere&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Detention Sphere<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Oblivion+Ring&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Oblivion Ring<\/a>, you get rid of it with <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Sundering+Growth&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Sundering Growth<\/a> or protect your men with <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Faith%26%238217%3Bs+Shield&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Faith&#8217;s Shield<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>V.S. I always wait until around turn 3-4 depending on the situation to play this spell so I get the most value out of it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>V.S. Once you get your <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Champion+of+Lambholt&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Champion of Lambholt<\/a> big enough, the only answer they can have is going to be a <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Selesnya+Charm&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Selesnya Charm<\/a> to exile it, but if they don&#8217;t have it, swinging out, generally for 30+ damage after a stall is enough to take them down past the life they may have gained through <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Thragtusk&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Thragtusk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>V.S. Add to that their <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Unsummon&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Unsummon<\/a> suddenly becomes twice as bad when we have 4 <a href=\"http:\/\/ajmtg.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-mtg-helper\/mtg_helper_cardfinder.php?find=Faith%26%238217%3Bs+Shield&width=223&height=310\" class=\"jTip\" name=\"\">Faith&#8217;s Shield<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>V.S.
